This 2006 Acura RSX Type-S remained registered to its first owner in California before the seller’s acquisition in August 2014. The car is finished in metallic gray over black fabric upholstery and is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes JDM-style lighting, Stance coilovers, Brembo front brake calipers, a decklid spoiler, a power glass sunroof, 17″ Team Dynamics Motorsport wheels, front sport seats, a seven-speaker Bose sound system, and a factory cassette stereo with an in-dash CD changer. This DC5 RSX Type-S is now offered at no reserve with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, two sets of keys, spare and removed parts, a Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished from the factory in Magnesium Metallic (NH-675M) and was repainted by the seller, reportedly following dent repairs around the body. Equipment includes a decklid spoiler, JDM-style lenses, ion fog lights, a power sunroof, a rear window wiper, molded mud guards, window visors, and tinted windows. The Carfax report lists an accident in January 2015 that resulted in damage to the front of the vehicle along with damage to the front and rear in March 2019. The seller states the front end has been repaired and the rear bumper replaced. Clear paint protection film has reportedly been applied to the front of the vehicle. The removed lenses, side moldings, and badging are included in the sale, along with various exterior trim and JDM-style badging.
Gunmetal gray-finished 17″ Team Dynamics Motorsport wheels are wrapped in 255/40 Firestone Indy 500 tires that display 2019 date codes. The car rides lower than stock on Stance coilovers and stopping power is provided by antilock four-wheel disc brakes with Brembo calipers and slotted rotors up front. The seller states the brake fluid was changed in May 2023.
The front sport seats and rear seats were reportedly sourced from a base RSX and are upholstered in black cloth with microsuede accents. Equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, a Spoon shift knob and rear-view mirror, RSX-branded door sill plates, a seven-speaker Bose sound system, and a factory cassette stereo with an in-dash CD changer.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames white-dial instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows 68k miles, and around 1,400 miles have been added by the seller. The Carfax report lists a mileage inconsistency in August 2022, and total mileage is unknown.
The 2.0-literi-VTEC inline-four features dual chain-driven overhead camshafts with i-VTEC variable valve timing, and factory-rated output was 201 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque. An oil and coolant change were performed in May 2023.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. The transmission and power steering fluid were replaced in May 2023. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Weir Canyon Acura of Anaheim, California as well as options, equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $24,460. Various literature, an Acura-branded car cover, factory manuals, and removed and spare parts also accompany the car, including a set of floor mats, pedals, rear hatch struts, and more as shown in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident in January 2015, damage in 2019, and mileage inconsistency in 2022, along with history in California and Arizona.
