This Acura RSX got away, but there are more like it here.

This 2004 Acura RSX Type-S is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four equipped with a Mishimoto aluminum radiator, a Revel cat-back exhaust system, a DeatschWerks fuel pump, and an Injen air intake. The car was repainted white in 2021 and fitted with a Devsport front splitter along with Type-R-style spoilers and side skirts, projector headlights, and Spoon side mirrors. The interior is trimmed in black leather upholstery and features a Pioneer touchscreen stereo, a short shifter, a MOMO steering wheel, a radar detector, and a backup camera. The suspension has been modified with BC Racing coilovers, a rear sway bar, Hotchkis adjustable endlinks, Skunk2 front lower control arms, and an SPC camber kit, and Brembo front brake calipers and 17″ Konig wheels have also been installed. Additional equipment includes a six-speed manual transaxle, a Wavetrac limited-slip differential, an Exedy clutch, and a Competition lightweight flywheel. The car has been registered in California since new and was acquired by the seller in 2019. This DC5 RSX Type-S has 121k miles and is now offered at no reserve with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car was finished from the factory in Desert Silver Metallic and was repainted white following the completion of dent repairs by Economy Paint and Collision of Jurupa Valley, California in June 2021. A Devsport front splitter and Mugen front lip have been added, along with an aftermarket rear wing, Type-R-style side skirts and rear valance, and Spoon side mirrors. Tint has been applied to the windows, and JDM-style clear side marker lights have been fitted along with aftermarket projector headlights, LED reverse lights, and Honda and Integra badging. Touchup paint has been applied to a chip on the front lip spoiler.

Bronze-finished 17″ Konig Hypergram wheels are wrapped in 225/45 Falken Azenis RT615K tires that display 2020 date codes. Stopping power is provided by antilock four-wheel disc brakes with Brembo front calipers, Powerstop pads, drilled and slotted rotors, and Goodridge stainless steel lines. Suspension and steering modifications are said to include the following components:

Originally trimmed in Titanium, the cabin now houses front sport seats and a rear bench upholstered in black leather. Equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, a Spoon rearview mirror, DC5-branded floor mats, a seven-speaker sound system, and a Pioneer touchscreen stereo with a backup camera. A Viper alarm system have been added, along with a Hybrid Racing short shifter, shift knob, shift collar, and cable bushings. The seller states the air conditioning compressor was rebuilt in 2021.

The MOMO steering wheel frames white-dial instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows 121k miles, around 7k of which have been added by the seller.

The 2.0-liter i-VTEC inline-four features dual chain-driven overhead camshafts with i-VTEC variable valve timing, and factory-rated output was 201 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque. A Cusco strut tower brace spans the engine bay and additional modifications include a Revel Medallion cat-back exhaust system, DeatschWerks fuel pump, a Mishsimoto radiator and hoses, Hasport billet engine mounts, an Injen polished heatshield, and an Injen Mega Ram air intake. The fuel injectors were cleaned in July 2021, and the seller states that the oxygen sensor, VTEC solenoid, and oil sending unit were replaced around that time. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.

No Reserve: Modified 2004 Acura RSX Type-S

Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a Wavetrac limited-slip differential. An Exedy Stage 1 Organic clutch kit, a Competition Clutch lightened flywheel, and Goodridge stainless steel lines were installed in 2020, and the differential bearings were reportedly replaced at that time.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California.
